THE WORLDS BEST TACO SALAD

I had this taco salad for the first time when I was in college at a friends house. I immediately asked her mom for the recipe. Now here I am, 19 years later still making this & sharing it with you all.

There are two incredible secrets to making this the BEST Taco Salad ever:

1. Use crushed Doritos. I got this recipe before Taco Bell released their Locos Tacos (the taco in a Dorito shell). Just making a point that tacos go so well with Doritos that even “The Bell” jumped on board.

2. Use Catalina dressing. I never use this dressing aside from in taco salads. If you’re not familiar with this dressing- get acquainted. It’s the absolutely perfect choice for this!

The actual Taco Salad assembly is up to you. Meaning you’d add whatever you like on an actual taco. Mine consisted of chopped lettuce, halved cherry tomatoes, red onion, shredded cheese, sliced black olives, Doritos, Catalina dressing & taco seasoned beef. Brown the beef according to the directions on a taco seasoning packet. Make sure you add that last so it’s nice and warm. Toss a dollop of sour cream on top & you’re done.
