Brining my chicken in beer isn’t something that I get to do often. Truth be told I’d rather drink the beer then use it in a brine 🤷🏻♀️. But every once & a while we have an unfinished keg leftover from a party with plenty of beer to spare. I never let this opportunity pass without using some for a chicken brine.
Any beer will do but this is how I make mine:
💥Add a whole chicken to a large pot💥Add to that- 5 crushed Garlic Cloves, 5 sprigs of Thyme, 5 sprigs of Sage, Black Pepper, 2 roughly chopped Shallots, 2/3 c Brown Sugar & 1 c Salt. 💥Pour about 4 cups of Beer (or enough to cover the chicken) on top 💥Cover & refrigerate over night
⚡️When it’s time to cook the chicken make sure you drain it from the brine & dry it really well. Season & cook the chicken however you like.
The chicken will be so juicy & tender. Totally worth using the beer up for this
