I just love making beef and cheese quesadillas. Actually I love making any kind of quesadilla. I always try to have tortillas in my fridge so I can put one together in a pinch. They’re so versatile that pretty much anything can go in them.
This time when my quesadilla craving hit I knew just what I was going to make. I had some ground beef in the fridge and a taco seasoning packet in my pantry.
This was a no brainer. Beef and cheese quesadillas it was going to be!

Quick and Easy
Making beef and cheese quesadillas at home is fast and easy. The most difficult part is waiting for the beef to brown. Once that party is done it’s smooth sailing.
It just needs to me added in between two tortillas with cheese and get toasted up. That takes only a few minutes on each side.
So now that we’re all in the mood for a beef and cheese quesadilla, let’s go over how to make one.
The Ingredients:
- Ground beef
- Velveeta Cheese
- Tortillas
- Salsa
- Onion
- Taco seasoning packet
- Shredded cheese
- Sour cream (optional)
How To Do It:

First, add ground beef to a large skillet.

Once the beef is browned, add some chopped onion. By the way I love my pink gloves!

Continue cooking the beef as directed on the back of the taco seasoning packet.

When that is done add some salsa to the ground beef.

Now add some cubed Velveeta cheese.

Cook over low heat until the cheese is melted into the beef.

Now spray a large skillet with cooking spray.

Next add shredded cheese.

Now add the beef mixture to the top of the cheese.

Spread it evenly all over the quesadilla.

Now add a little more shredded cheese to the top of the beef..

Lay the top over to close and lightly spray with cooking spray.

Toast over medium low heat on both sides.

Place the quesadilla on a cutting board and let it cool for a little.

After letting the quesadilla cool slightly cut it into four pieces. I find that using a pizza cutter works best if you have one.

Finally finished! Your beef and cheese quesadilla is ready for the eating.

I was hoping you would have cooked everything, thrown a tortilla shell over it, flip it, throw another tortilla shell down and then brown, cut and serve.
That’s how I shall do it for tomorrow’s football games!
This recipe sounds amazing. I really don’t like onions but I am going to try it without the onion tonight. I hope it still taste really good.
