Nutella Hot Chocolate Hack

I think it would be safe to say that pretty much every Italian American house in New Jersey has a jar of Nutella in their pantry as we speak.
If you happen to be unfamiliar with this jar of gold, please let me introduce you.
Nutella is a chocolate hazelnut spread that can be used for a million things. It sounds simple and maybe it is. But let me tell you it’s absolutely delicious.
Some of my favorite uses for it being on pancakes, in cookies, in dessert pizzas, drizzled on ice cream and first and foremost- straight out of the jar.
This stuff is seriously delicious and goes fast! When you do find yourself with a close to empty jar it may just be the perfect time for this Nutella hot chocolate hack.
Plus, I don’t know what the weathers like where you are but it’s really cold in Jersey right now. What a great way to warm up!
What You’ll Need:
- Semi empty jar of Nutella
- Milk
- A saucepan
- Marshmallows (optional)
- Hershey Syrup (optional)
How To Do It:
The “how to” on this one couldn’t be easier. Heat up some milk in a sauce pan. About enough to fill your mug would be perfect.
Then pour the warm milk directly into the Nutella jar.
Seal it up tight and give it a nice shake. Be careful not to burn yourself. The jar can get hot so wear an oven mit if your sensitive to heat.
I’ve been burned cooking so many times cooking that I could probably stick my hand directly into a fire and not even feel it. So I didn’t need one.
Anyway, then simply pour the Nutella and milk mixture into a mug. Top with marshmallows and chocolate syrup if desired. Not necessary but strongly suggested.
That’s all there is to it! You’ve made a delicious Nutella hot chocolate.
