Do you want to know the best grilled chicken thigh marinade in the entire world? I mean it. No more bland, dry chicken that gets overlooked at the BBQ. This recipe is the only one you’ll ever need or really even ever want for that matter. It’s easy to put together and absolutely packed with flavor. I avoided using the word fast here for a reason. The marinade itself is quick to do, sure, but you really need to let this sit overnight. Try not to rush it if you can. I promise you it will be worth the wait,

Now I said grilled chicken thighs because I believe that grilling is a key component to making this the best recipe ever. I usually use my Weber Kettle because I love the flavor that the charcoal brings to the table. Aside from the grill itself, the thighs are a must also! Can you make this with chicken breast and cook them using another method? Of course, I’m not the boss of you. BUT I will say this, it might not taste as great. So do what you want but just know that chicken thighs were strongly recommended for good reason.

I make these grilled chicken thighs every time I host a tailgate which is pretty often if I can manage it. I absolutely love going to any game or concert and the tailgate is a huge part of that. Grilled Chicken Thigh Marinade

The absolute best chicken thigh marinade you’ll ever try.

  • 2-3 Pounds Chicken Thighs
  • 1/2 Cup Olive Oil
  • 1/4 Cup Soy Sauce
  • 1/4 Cup Worcestershire Sauce
  • 1/4 Cup Balsamic Vinegar
  • 3/4 Cup Brown Sugar
  • 2 Tbs Dijon Muatard
  • 1 Tbs Lemon Juice
  • 2 Tbs Italian Seasoning
  • 5 Cloves Garlic minced
  • 1 Tsp Garlic Powder
  • 1 Tbs Pepper


  • Cut the chicken thighs into 1 inch cubes & place them in a medium sized rectangular dish.
  • Add all of the ingredients and mix until the chicken is evenly coated.
  • Skewer the chicken onto wooden or metal skewers and place back into the marinating dish.
  • Cover the bowl and place in the refrigerator to marinate over night.
  • Take the chicken out of the refrigerator while you set up the grill.
  • Grill the chicken over direct heat until it reaches an internal temperature of 165°
  • Serve warm
