Easy Cheeseburger Casserole

This easy cheeseburger casserole is made with seasoned ground beef, pasta shells, tomato soup and just a few other simple ingredients.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 3 tbs Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 10.7 oz cans Campbell's tomato soup
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 2 cups cheddar cheese, shredded and divided
  • 1 pound medium size pasta shells
  • 1 ladle pasta water
  • parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  • In a large skillet add the ground beef and onion. Brown the beef (breaking it into small pieces) and drain any extra fat.
  • Season the beef with salt, pepper and onion powder. Add the Worcestershire sauce and stir everything together.
  • Add the two cans of soup and water. Stir it into the beef until its evenly combined. Let this simmer for about 5 minutes
  • Then stir in half of the shredded cheese and a ladle of the pasta water.
  • Add the shells (cooked to al dente) and stir them into the sauce.
  • Now spray a 9 x 13 inch baking dish with cooking spray and add the cooked shells and meat mixture.
  • Then top with the rest of the cheese and bake covered at 350 degrees for about 30 minutes.
  • let it cook slightly before serving and add the fresh parsley (optional). Serve warm and enjoy!
