Equipment

  • Waffle Maker
  • Cheese Grater
  • Dish Towel

Ingredients

  • 1 Large Russet Potato
  • 1 Large Egg
  • 1/4 Cup Shredded Cheddar Cheese
  • Salt, Pepper & Garlic Powder
  • Cooking Spray

Instructions

  • Grate the potato using the largest option on the cheese grater
  • In a dish towel wring out as much liquid from the potatoes as you can.
  • Place the dry potatoes in a large bowl
  • Add the egg, cheese & seasonings.
  • Mix it all together until it’s well combined
  • Heat up the waffle iron and spray the inside with cooking spray.
  • Add the hash brown mixture to the waffle iron. Spreading it out evenly.
  • Close the lid firmly and cook for 5-8 minutes or until the hash browns are done to your liking.
  • Carefully remove the hash browns from the waffle maker and place on a plate.
  • Cool slightly before eating.
