Cut up the chicken thighs into 1-2” pieces and add them to a large bowl. Season them with salt, pepper and garlic powder.
Grate the fresh garlic into the bowl and add the BBQ sauce.
Mix everything together until the chicken is evenly coated in the seasonings and sauce.
Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and place it into the fridge for at least a few hours but ideally over night.
Place the cubed chicken, red onion and pineapple onto the metal skewers. You can alter them out to make a nice looking pattern of your choice.
Place the skewers onto a hot grill or grill pan.
Rotate the kabobs onto all sides until the chicken, onion and pineapple are slightly charred and the chicken is cooked all the way through.
Finally, either serve on the skewers or remove everything and place it onto a serving platter. It’s a matter of preference just be sure to be careful of the hot metal skewers. Enjoy!
