Cheese Sauce For Broccoli
This easy to make and delicious cheese sauce for broccoli is the perfect way to get your family to happily eat their vegetables.

- 2.5-3 cups broccoli florets
- 2 tbs butter
- 2 tbs flour
- ¾ cup milk
- 1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
- salt and pepper to taste
- 1 tbs garlic powder
First, bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and add the broccoli. Let that boil for about 8-10 minutes or until the broccoli is soft.
While that’s cooking, in a medium sauce pan, melt the butter and whisk the flour in. Continue whisking over medium heat high heat for 2- 3 minutes.
Now slowly whisk in the milk and season it with salt, pepper and garlic powder.
Then turn the heat to low and whisk in the shredded cheddar cheese until all the cheese is melted.
Once the broccoli is done, strain it and lightly season the florets with salt and pepper.
Next taste the cheese sauce and add more seasoning if needed.
Finally plate the broccoli and pour the cheese sauce on top. Serve warm and enjoy!
