Easy Cajun Alfredo
Easy Cajun Alfredo sauce is made by tossing pasta in a creamy, cheesy sauce that’s favored with Cajun seasoning for bold and zesty kick.
Course Main Course
Cuisine American, Italian
- 4 Tbs Butter
- ½ Small Onion, diced
- 3 Cloves Garlic, minced
- ½ Cup Vegetable Broth
- 1 ¼ Cup Heavy Cream
- 1 Cup Parmesan Cheese
- 4 Oz Cream Cheese, room temperature
- Salt and Pepper to taste
- 1 Tbs Garlic Powder
- 2 Tbs Cajun Seasoning (I recommend Slap Ya Mama)
- ¼ Cup Fresh Parsley, chopped
- 1 Pound Cooked Spaghetti or Linguine
In a large skillet melt the butter and sauté the chopped onion and garlic until soft.
Slowly pour in the vegetable broth and heavy cream. I like to microwave the heavy cream for about 15-20 seconds to take the chill off first.
Season the sauce with salt, pepper, garlic powder and (Slap ya Mama) Cajun seasoning. Stir the seasoning into the sauce and let it simmer on low for about 5 minutes stirring occasionally.
Stir in the parmesan cheese.
Add the fresh parsley and cream cheese and whisk it into the sauce until it melts into it.
Taste and re season the sauce (if needed) and add the cooked pasta.
Toss the pasta into the sauce until it’s evenly coated, serve warm and enjoy!
