Easy Cajun Alfredo

Easy Cajun Alfredo sauce is made by tossing pasta in a creamy, cheesy sauce that’s favored with Cajun seasoning for bold and zesty kick.

Ingredients

  • 4 Tbs Butter
  • ½ Small Onion, diced
  • 3 Cloves Garlic, minced
  • ½ Cup Vegetable Broth
  • 1 ¼ Cup Heavy Cream
  • 1 Cup Parmesan Cheese
  • 4 Oz Cream Cheese, room temperature
  • Salt and Pepper to taste
  • 1 Tbs Garlic Powder
  • 2 Tbs Cajun Seasoning (I recommend Slap Ya Mama)
  • ¼ Cup Fresh Parsley, chopped
  • 1 Pound Cooked Spaghetti or Linguine

Instructions

  • In a large skillet melt the butter and sauté the chopped onion and garlic until soft.
  • Slowly pour in the vegetable broth and heavy cream. I like to microwave the heavy cream for about 15-20 seconds to take the chill off first.
  • Season the sauce with salt, pepper, garlic powder and (Slap ya Mama) Cajun seasoning.
  • Stir the seasoning into the sauce and let it simmer on low for about 5 minutes stirring occasionally.
  • Stir in the parmesan cheese.
  • Add the fresh parsley and cream cheese and whisk it into the sauce until it melts into it.
  • Taste and re season the sauce (if needed) and add the cooked pasta.
  • Toss the pasta into the sauce until it’s evenly coated, serve warm and enjoy!
