EASY STROMBOLI

This easy stromboli recipe combines deli meat, provolone cheese and Italian spices baked in a butter pizza dough until golden brown.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 large Pizza dough or any kind of pizza dough
  • 6-8 slices Deli Ham
  • 6-8 slices Deli Salami
  • 12 slices Provolone Cheese
  • 6-8 slices Deli Pepperoni
  • 1 tbs Italian Seasoning
  • 1 tbs Garlic powder
  • 1 Egg
  • 2 tbs Water
  • 2-4 TBS Parmesan cheese, grated

Instructions
 

  • Roll out the pizza dough with a rolling pin
  • Then add a slightly overlapping layer of provolone cheese and ham.
  • Next, add the salami and pepperoni slices followed by another layer of provolone cheese.
  • After that, jelly roll the dough horizontally.
  • Now pinch the ends closed and tuck them under the dough.
  • Then place the the dough seem side down onto a parchment paper lined baking sheet.
  • Next, make an egg wash by beating together one egg and the water. Now brush the top with a thin layer of the egg wash.
  • Now using a sharp knife, make about 5 evenly spread out slits down the top of the bread for ventilation.
  • Then sprinkle the top with garlic powder, Italian seasoning and Parmesan cheese.
  • After that, place it in a 400° oven for about 15-20 minutes or until the dough is golden brown and cooked all the way through.
  • Finally, let it cool for about 15 minutes, slice into about 1 inch pieces and serve with warm marinara sauce on the side if you’d like. Enjoy!
