Equipment

  • cast iron skillet

Ingredients

  • 4-6 Chicken Thighs- bone in, skin on
  • 2 tbs Olive Oil
  • Salt and Pepper to taste
  • 1 tbs Chicken Bullion
  • 1 tbs Garlic Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Paprika
  • 1 stick Butter
  • 4 cloves Garlic, chopped
  • Parsley, chopped

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 400°
  • First, pat the chicken thighs dry using a paper towel and add them to a large bowl and add the olive oil, salt, pepper, garlic powder, paprika and chicken bullion.
  • Now, mix everything together until the chicken is evenly coated in the seasoning and let that marinate for at least 10 minutes.
  • Then, heat a cast iron skillet (or an oven safe pan) over medium high heat, and add the chicken thighs skin side down.
  • Now, sear the chicken thighs on both sides for about 5 minutes or until the skin is brown and crispy.
  • Next, arrange the chicken skin side up and turn off the heat. Add the butter, garlic and parsley to the center and let the butter melt.
  • Now, spoon some garlic butter over the chicken thighs and place the skillet into the oven for about 15 minutes.
  • Next, spoon some more garlic butter over the top of the chicken and place it back into the oven to continue cooking for another 15 minutes.
  • Finally, let the chicken cool slightly, transfer to a serving dish and garnish with parsley (optional). Serve warm and enjoy!
