Layered Taco Dip

Layered taco dip is the perfect appetizer for any occasion made by baking cream cheese, salsa, taco seasoned ground beef and shredded cheese then adding your choice of toppings.

Ingredients
  

  • 16 oz Cream Cheese, softened
  • 1 pound Ground Beef
  • 2 oz Taco Seasoning
  • ¾ cup Mild Salsa
  • 1 cup Cheddar Cheese, hand shredded
  • Optional Toppings: Shredded Lettuce, Diced Tomatoes, Sliced Black Olives
  • Tortilla Chips

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the oven to 350°
  • Spread the cream cheese evenly onto the bottom of an 9 x 9” baking dish.
  • Spread a layer of salsa on top.
  • Make the ground beef according to the directions on the back of the taco seasoning packet. We’re using two packets for one pound of ground beef for extra flavor.
  • Spread the ground beef evenly on top of the salsa and then sprinkle a layer of shredded cheese on top.
  • Place it into the oven for about 15-20 minutes or until the sides are hot and bubbly and the cheese is melted.
  • Finally, add the optional toppings, serve warm with tortilla chips and enjoy!
