Pecan Pie Brownies

Pecan pie brownies are made with a box of premade brownie mix baked together with a delicious pecan pie topping for an easy to make holiday dessert the whole family will love.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 box Brownie Mix (plus the ingredients to make it)
  • 1 cup Dark Corn Syrup
  • 1 cup Brown Sugar
  • 3 Eggs
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla
  • Pinch of Salt
  • 1 ½ cup Pecans, chopped

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the oven to 350°
  • Make the brownie mix according to the directions on the back of the package and place the batter into a 9 x 13” baking pan.
  • Bake the brownies until they are just done or very slightly underbaked. This can be a tricky because every box time is different. I’d recommend 5-10 minutes less than the box suggested.
  • In a medium sized bowl, stir together the corn syrup, brown sugar, eggs, vanilla, pinch of salt, and chopped pecans until everything is evenly combined.
  • Pour the pecan mixture on top of the mostly baked brownies and spread it out until it covers the surface evenly. Place it back into the oven for another 15 minutes.
  • Finally, let the pecan pie brownies cool completely, serve and enjoy!
