Ingredients

  • 1 Large Pizza Dough
  • 1 Tbs Flour
  • 1 Tbs Olive Oil
  • 1 Pound Shaved Steak
  • 1 Small Green Bell Pepper, diced
  • 1 Small Onion, diced
  • 1 Tbs Worcestershire Sauce
  • 16 Slices Provolone Cheese
  • 1 Egg
  • 1-2 Tbs Sesame Seeds
  • Salt and Pepper to taste
  • 1 Tbs Garlic Powder

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 400 degrees
  • In a large skillet, sauté the chopped bell pepper and onion in a little olive oil. Stir in the shaved steak and season it with salt, pepper and garlic powder. Once the steak is almost browned, stir in the Worcestershire sauce until it’s finished cooking. Since the streak is so thin, this should only take a couple of minutes.
  • On a lightly floured surface, roll the pizza dough out into a rectangle shape.
  • Lay down half of the provolone cheese, side by side and slightly overpallping, covering the center of the dough.
  • Spread the steak mixture evenly on top.
  • Place the rest of the provolone evenly on top of the steak.
  • Jelly roll the pizza dough and tuck the sides under the dough to keep the filling in place. Place it seam side down onto a parchment paper lined baking sheet.
  • Make an egg wash by whisking the egg with 2 Tbs of water and brush it onto the top of the dough.
  • Sprinkle the sesame seeds on top and cut ventilation slits about every 2-3” apart.
  • Place it into the center rack of the oven for 15-20 minutes or until the dough is golden brown.
  • Let the Stromboli sit for about 5 minutes to set, slice it into pieces and enjoy!
