Sour Cream And Onion Egg Noodles

Sour cream and onion egg noodles are made by tossing cooked egg noodles in a flavorful homemade sour cream and onion sauce for a simple dinner the whole family will love.

Ingredients
  

  • 12 Oz Wide Egg Noodles plus a ladle of pasta water
  • 6 Tbs Butter
  • 1 Small Onion, diced
  • ¼ Cup Chives, chopped (saved some for garnish)
  • 1 Envelope Lipton Onion Soup Mix
  • 16 Oz Sour Cream

Instructions
 

  • First, boil the egg noodles in salted water.
  • While the noodles are cooking, melt the butter in a large pan over medium high heat and add the diced onions.
  • Add Lipton Onion Soup packet. Let the onion and onion soup packet sauté together for about 4 minutes or until the onions are soft.
  • Add a ladle of pasta water and stir it into the onions and onion soup packet for about 3 minutes.
  • Add in the cooked and strained egg noodles, sour cream and chopped chives.
  • Gently stir everything together until the noodles are evenly coated in the sour cream and onion sauce.
  • Finally, garnish with more chopped chives, serve warm and enjoy!
