Crockpot Sloppy Joes
From the recipe collection of Tara Ippolito
There’s nothing better than some warm crockpot sloppy joes sandwiches.

They really hit the spot when you’re in the mood for them.
We used to eat these all the time as kids growing up. My siblings and I used to love coming home from school and finding out that we were having them for dinner.

Now that I’m a Mother with my own family, I make them for my kids, too.
Just the smell of them cooking is so nostalgic. It truly is a comfort food classic that many of us grew up on.
The best part about this recipe is that it’s made in the crock pot.

Not having to babysit the stove frees up lots of time to do chores around the house and help the kids with whatever they need before dinner time.
Crockpot recipes like this are a huge time saver and the perfect choice for a busy weekend dinner.

They’re always a hit and guaranteed crowd pleaser.
I hope you give this recipe a try. If you do, I know you’ll love it just as much as my family and I do.

Crockpot Sloppy Joes Variations
I like this recipe made just the way it is, but here are some ways to change it up if you’d like to.

- Meat- any ground meat like turkey or chicken would be ok to substitute although I do feel that the recipe is best made with beef
- Vegetables- feel free to add some chopped bell pepper. Just be sure to sauté it with the onion and beef.
- Cheese- if you prefer a little cheese with your sloppy Joe, stir some into the beef right before serving.
