Beans and Wiens

Beans and wiens is a classic, family friendly meal made with country style baked beans, hot dogs, crispy bacon bits and just a few other simple ingredients.

Ingredients
  

  • 8 Sabrett Hot Dogs, sliced into about quarter inch pieces
  • 4 strips Bacon, diced
  • 28 oz can Bushes Country Style Baked Beans
  • 2 tbs Brown Sugar
  • 2 tbs BBQ Sauce
  • 1 tbs Yellow Mustard
  • 1 tbs Honey
  • Parsley (for garnish)

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the oven to 350°
  • Fry the bacon over medium high heat in a large cast-iron skillet until it is crispy. Remove the bacon and place it on paper towels to drain leaving the remaining grease in the skillet.
  • Add the sliced hotdogs and cook them in the bacon grease for about 2 to 3 minutes or until they start browning on the sides.
  • Drain about a tablespoon of the liquid from the beans and add them to the skillet.
  • Add the brown sugar, BBQ sauce, yellow mustard, honey and bacon. Mix everything together until it’s nice and evenly combined.
  • Place it in the oven for about 15 to 20 minutes or until the sides are hot and bubbly.
  • Finally, let it cool slightly and garnish with parsley (if desired). Serve warm and enjoy.
