What other toppings can I use for this pepperoni pizza dip?
There are so many different toppings you could use for this pizza dip, not just pepperoni.
You can leave the pepperoni on if you’d like and add to it or leave it out completely if you’d like.

The options are completely up to you. Anything that would be a good pizza topping like meatball, peppers and onions or mushroom would work here.
I’d just suggest that whatever ingredient you choose that it be cut into small pieces so it’s easily scooped up for the dip.
Do I really have to shred the cheese myself?
Yes, absolutely!
This is the one thing that I’d really urge you not to take a shortcut on.

Pre-shredded bagged cheese has chemicals in it like cellulose.
This keeps the cheese from clumping but it also prevents it from melting properly.

Shred the cheese off the block and the pizza dip will be much creamier

How to soften the cream cheese
Lots of recipes call for softened cream cheese and there are a few ways that you can do it.

First, just take it out of the fridge and toss it onto the counter for about 30 minutes. That’s all there is to it! The cream cheese will be perfect after that time.
Second, you can add it (still sealed) to a bowl of warm water. This method will take even faster. About 10-15 minutes.

And last but not least, you can always use the trusty microwave. Take the cream cheese out of the package and place it onto a plate. Microwave it for 30 seconds – 1 minute and you’re done!

How do you keep the cheese so melty on top? After several minutes, cheese on top becomes a glop of cheese…
Al Dente Diva says
Are you shredding it yourself? Make sure you are. You can also bake it with some tin foil on top. That would help
