Caramelized onion and bacon dip is an incredibly delicious appetizer for any occasion.

This recipe is fantastic for holidays, game day or even for just relaxing at home.
It’s also the perfect thing to bring to a tailgate or party. This dip will be the talk of the event for sure.
Everyone that I’ve ever served this to just loves this and it’s always the first thing to go.

First of all, those caramelized onions are incredible on their own. They’re loaded with so much flavor when cooked down like this.
It’s not hard to do at all either, but it does take some time. A process completely worth the wait if you ask me.

Once you’ve got those onions and chopped bacon mixed into your seasoned sour cream, mayonnaise and cream cheese base it’s hard to resist.
All the flavors just go so beautifully together.

Every time I‘ve made this, I’m flooded with compliments and requests for the recipe.
I hope you give this one a try. If you do, I know you’re going to love it just as much as my family and I do.

Caramelized Onion And Bacon Dip Variations
I love making this recipe as it is, but here are some ways to change it up if you’d like to.

- Cream Cheese- use ½ the amount of cream cheese for a less thick dip and feel free to choose a one like garlic and herb to add more flavor.
- Onions- You can use yellow or white onions for this recipe.
- Dippers- Instead of potato chips, tortilla chips or any chip of your choice would work great. Even some veggie sticks would be a great choice.
