These easy crab bites are made with lump crab meat, crushed Ritz crackers and just a few other simple ingredients for a delicious appetizer.

Easy Crab Bites

From the recipe collection of Tara Ippolito

These easy crab bites are a delicious appetizer for any party or get together.

I love making these for holidays like Christmas and Thanksgiving but they’re wonderful all year round.

Especially in the summer time when fresh crab meat is easily accessible here in New Jersey.

When crabs aren’t in season, canned crab meat is a great alternative that’s super convenient, too. Just pick up a can at your local grocery store and you're good to go.

These crab bites can be thrown together in no time and require very little effort to make. My favorite kind of recipe.

The ingredients are simple and really bring out all the delicious flavors of the crab.

Whenever I serve these to friends and family they’re always the first to go. Finger foods like this are always a huge hit at any party..

Serve them alone or with some homemade tartar sauce for a truly incredible appetizer.

I hope you give this recipe a try. If you do, I know you’ll love it just as much as my family and I do.

Easy Crab Bites Variations

I like this recipe made just the way it is but here are some ways to change it up if you’d like to.

  • Crab Meat- Any kind of crab meat will do for this recipe but lump is best in my opinion.
  • Crackers- Saltines, Ritz Crackers or Panko breadcrumbs would all be ok to use.
  • Portions- These are great served small as an appetizer but they can easily be made bigger and served as a crab cake for dinner.
