Strawberry Tres Leches Poke Cake
From the recipe collection of Tara Ippolito
I made this strawberry tres leches poke cake for Mothers Day and it was an absolute hit.

The weather was warm this year herein New Jersey, and I wanted something that would be light and summery.
This cake was the perfect thing. Everyone gave me so many compliments on it and it was eaten up in no time.

Besides being super easy to make, my favorite thing about this recipe is that it needs to be made ahead of time.
That way, all of that sweet, delicious milk can really soak into the cake layer.
I’ve said this over and over but I’m the first one to admit that I’m not a great baker.

Any desserts that I make have to be foolproof and delicious at the same time and this one was so great.
This is the perfect dessert recipe to bring to any summer BBQ or party. It’s guaranteed to be a huge hit like it was over at my house.

The flavors are fresh and refreshing and complement each other very well.
I hope you give this recipe a try. If you do, I know you’ll love it just as much as my family and friends do.

Strawberry Tres Leches Poke Cake Variations
I like this strawberry cake made just the way it is but here are some ways to change it up if you’d like to.

- Cake Mix- Change the cake mix and fresh strawberry topping and it can be any kind of tres leches cake that you’d like. Chocolate and lemon are both delicious options.
- Topping- Fresh or freeze dried strawberries are both great options. Add a little crunch with some crushed up graham crackers or add some strawberry syrup.
