Shrimp fra diavolo is a delicious seafood dinner made by cooking seasoned jumbo shrimp in a spicy, flavorful tomato sauce.

Shrimp Fra Diavolo

From the recipe collection of Tara Ippolito

This shrimp far diavolo seriously hit the spot at my Sunday family dinner.

Last weekend we had some family over and I was craving something spicy. I’ve been on a big shrimp kick lately and this couldn’t have been more perfect.

Usually when I’m in the mood for seafood I make something like Baked Italian Shrimp or Shrimp Scampi.

Both are amazing but lack the kick I was looking for.

This recipe completely hit the spot! The shrimp are perfectly seasoned and cooked in a spicy tomato sauce.

Don’t worry, the heat is completely customizable. Add more or less hot pepper according to your tolerance.

You can serve this as is or over a nice big plate of pasta. I’ve even eaten it over white rice and loved it.

It made me very happy that everyone at our family dinner thought it was a big hit.

I really hope you give this one a try. If you do, I know you’ll love it just as much as my family and friends do.?

Fast. Simple. Delicious.

Shrimp Fra Diavolo Variations

I like this shrimp recipe made just the way it is, but here are some ways to change it up if you’d like to.

  • Shrimp- The tails hold a lot of flavor and give you something to hold onto. If you’d prefer to remove them though, you absolutely can.
  • Serving- Lots of people like to serve this over spaghetti. Just make a litter less than the amount of shrimp that the recipe calls for to leave plenty of sauce for your pasta.
