Easy Cheesy Bread
From the recipe collection of Tara Ippolito
You're probably going to think I'm being dramatic, but this easy cheesy bread really is the best recipe ever.

Every single time I make this, I always wish I had made more because my family and friends eat it so quickly.
It’s the perfect appetizer to serve to a crowd or enjoy by yourself. Everyone loves melted cheese on a nice buttery crust.

There is no sauce in this recipe, and it really doesn't need any. If you'd like to serve it with some marinara sauce on the side for dunking, be my guest. However, the butter adds such incredible flavor that you really won't need it.

I have made this recipe for many parties, game days, and events, and it's a hit every single time. People really do go crazy over it.
I hope you give this recipe a try. I know that if you do, you'll love it just as much as my family and I.

What should I serve with this easy cheesy bread?
As I always say, the choice of sides is entirely up to you. If you're serving this with a variety of appetizers, here are some great recipes that would complement it perfectly.

If you’re looking for a healthier side dish option to serve with this, here are some other great choices as well.

What dough should I use for this easy cheesy bread?
The choice of dough is up to you. I personally love the convenience of canned Pillsbury dough for this particular recipe.

I like the cheesy bread super flat, and the Pillsbury dough already comes as flat as it gets.
If you’d prefer to make your own dough or get some from a local pizza place, that’s completely fine. Just be sure to roll it out as flat as possible.
Do I really have to shred the cheese myself?
This is the one thing that I’d really urge you not to take a shortcut on. Pre-shredded bagged cheese has chemicals in it like cellulose.

Shredding the cheese directly from the block prevents clumping and ensures it melts properly, making the cheesy bread much creamier.
Easy cheesy bread ingredients

- Canned pizza dough
- Butter, melted
- Salt, pepper, garlic powder and italian seasoning
- Parmesan cheese, grated
- Mozzarella cheese, hand shredded
- Dried parsley for garnish
- Tomato sauce for dunking (optional)
Instructions
First, lay the pizza dough out on a parchment paper-lined baking sheet and roll it out until it's in a thin, rectangular shape.

Then, pour the melted butter over the dough and spread it evenly, making sure to brush it all the way to the edges.

Now season it with salt, pepper, garlic powder and Italian seasoning.

Now, sprinkle the parmesan cheese on top.

Next, evenly sprinkle the mozzarella cheese on top.

Then, bake at 375°F for about 10-15 minutes, or until the cheese is golden and bubbly, and the dough is cooked through.

Finally, sprinkle some dried parsley on top (optional) and slice the cheesy garlic bread in half horizontally.

Then make several vertical cuts about an inch and a half thick.

Serve warm and enjoy

When you say parmesan (grated) do you mean the stuff in the green container?
