These easy cheesecake brownies really are the best of both worlds.

They combine all of the chocolaty goodness of a traditional brownie mixed with the rich creaminess of cheesecake.
I just love this easy dessert. I always get tons of compliments from friends and family whenever I make them.

The swirling design of these brownies make them look super impressive, too.
The truth is, this dessert couldn’t be easier to make and I couldn’t mean that more.

All you need is a box of brownie mix and a couple of other simple ingredients to make this.
That’s perfect for me because I’m not a great baker and never was. I mention that often because its always been something that I struggle with.

Any dessert I make needs to be easy peasy and this one sure is!

Tips on making easy cheesecake brownies
- Make sure the cream cheese is softened. It will be easier to blend all of the ingredients and they will pour over the brownie batter much more evenly.
- Be sure the cheesecake brownies are cooked through enough by testing them with a toothpick. Insert it into the brownies and if it comes out mostly clean they’re perfectly done.

- Line the baking pan with parchment paper or be sure to grease it for easy removal and slicing.
- Let the brownies cool completely before cutting into them. If you cut them too soon they will loose their square shape and fall apart.
How to soften the cream cheese
Lots of recipes call for softened cream cheese and there are a few ways that you can do it.

First, just take it out of the fridge and toss it onto the counter for about 30 minutes. That’s all there is to it! The cream cheese will be perfect after that time.
Second, you can add it (still sealed) to a bowl of warm water. This method will take even faster. About 10-15 minutes.

And last but not least, you can always use the trusty microwave. Take the cream cheese out of the package and place it onto a plate. Microwave it for 30 seconds – 1 minute and you’re done!

Easy cheesecake brownies ingredients

- Boxed brownie mix (and all of its ingredients)
- Cream cheese (softened)
- Sugar
- Egg
- Vanilla extract
Instructions
First, in a large mixing bowl, make the brownie mix according to the directions on the back of the package.

Now line a baking pan with parchment paper leaving about an inch popping out of the sides. This will make it easier cut the brownies later.

Then pour the brownie batter into the parchment paper lined pan.

Next, in a separate bowl add the softened cream cheese, sugar, vanilla and egg.

Then beat all of the ingredients together using an electric mixer until they are evenly combined.

After that, pour the cream cheese mixture over the brownie mixture.

Now, take a toothpick or butter knife and run it over the cream cheese and brownie mixture creating a swirl or whatever kind of design you’d like.

Next place them in the center rack of a 350° preheated oven for about 40 minutes or a toothpick can be inserted and removed clean.

Finally, let them cool and pull up the parchment paper sides pulling the brownies out of the pan with it.

Now you can slice them into squares and serve. Enjoy!

- 1 egg
- 1 tbs vanilla
- 1 8oz block of cream cheese, softened
- 1/3 c sugar
