Air Fryer BBQ Chicken Wings
From the recipe collection of Tara Ippolito
These air fryer bbq chicken wings are so crispy and delicious.

I made them for a family party recently and they were a huge hit.
Two different people actually asked me where I got them from and assumed that I had ordered them from a local restaurant.

I was very proud to see the look on their faces when I told them I had made them right here at home.
These bbq chicken wings really do taste like restaurant quality because of two reasons.

One reason is that the chicken is very nicely seasoned with the perfect blend of spices to really complement the flavors of the barbecue sauce.
The second is that we’re using a secret ingredient, baking powder, that will help crisp these wings right up.

I hope that you give this recipe a try. I know that if you do you’ll love it just as much as my family and friends do.

The secret to the best air fryer BBQ chicken wings
Have you ever noticed that some chicken wings are just much crispier than others?
I always wondered why I couldn’t get a good crunch on my wings no matter how I cooked them.

That was until I learned the power of just a little bit of baking powder.
The baking powder helps the wings brown and crisp up so nicely while leaving the inside most and juicy.

Be sure to pat your wings dry, too, before seasoning them. That will also help achieve that delicious crunch that every chicken wing lover is after.

If you love quick and easy air fryer recipes like this one, here are some more that I know you’d love, too.

Do I have to use the air fryer?
No, you don’t have to use an air fryer for this recipe if you’d prefer not to. An oven will do the trick here, too.

Just follow the recipe as directed and bake them in a preheated 400° oven for 45-50 minutes or until the chicken is cooked all the way through.
Brush the wings with barbecue sauce and broil them for 2-3 minutes to finish them up.
