Shrimp Scampi
From the recipe collection of Tara Ippolito
This shrimp scampi is super easy to make and uses familiar ingredients most of which you probably already have on hand.

Keeping frozen shrimp in the freezer is perfect for when you’re in the mood for a nice big bowl of pasta like this.
That’s exactly what I thought when I suddenly got a craving and just had to have some immediately.
This is a dish that usually gets ordered when we go dine out at our favorite local Italian restaurants.

Here in Bergen County we have access to some really incredible places. The food is always amazing and shrimp scampi is one of our favorites to eat. When we can’t make it out, cooking it at home is the next best option.
The ingredients are so simple and the recipe itself is super easy to put together.

The fresh lemon and garlic really complement the shrimp and makes the best tasting sauce for the linguine to soak up.
This dish is kind of unique because we usually make a lot of pasta in the cooler months and more shrimp and seafood in the warmer weather. This recipe combines both things so it’s on our menu all year round.

It’s a great option for a busy weekday dinner because it comes together in a flash and it’s always a huge hit in my house.
I hope you give this one a try. If you do, I know you’ll love it just as much as my family and I do.

Shrimp Scampi Variations
I like this recipe for shrimp scampi made just the way it is but here are some ways to change it up if you’d like to.

- Pasta- use any kind of pasta will work for this recipe.
- Cream- Some people like to add a splash of heavy cream to the sauce at the end. Do so if you’d like to.
- Wine- Instead of wine vegetable broth can be substituted.
- Cheese- if you’d like to add Parmesan cheese to the sauce before the pasta, that’s a wonderful add in.
