- Butter: Melted butter coats the shrimp and creates a delicious sauce while they bake.
- Lemons: Thin slices add fresh citrus flavor and keep the shrimp bright and flavorful.
How To Make It
Heres how to make this delicious shrimp. You can find the full ingredients along with instructions on the recipe card below.
- Preheat the oven to 350°F. Melt the butter in a medium bowl and add the shrimp. Toss until they're evenly coated. Sprinkle the dry Italian dressing mix over the shrimp and gently toss until everything is well combined. Arrange the lemon slices in the bottom of a 9 x 13" baking dish.

- Pour the shrimp and butter mixture over the lemons and spread the shrimp into an even layer. Place it into the center rack of the oven for about 20 minutes, or until the shrimp are pink, opaque, and cooked through. Let the shrimp cool slightly, garnish with parsley and serve with the buttery pan sauce spooned over the top.
Pro Tips
- Pat the shrimp completely dry before tossing them with the butter. This helps the seasoning stick and prevents excess liquid in the baking dish.
- Don't overcook the shrimp. They're done as soon as they turn pink and opaque.
- Arrange the shrimp in a single layer so they cook evenly.
- Use fresh lemons instead of bottled lemon juice for the brightest flavor.
- Spoon some of the buttery pan sauce over the shrimp right before serving.
- Garnish with chopped fresh parsley for a pop of color and freshness.
Variations
- Add Garlic: Stir 2-3 cloves of minced garlic into the melted butter before adding the shrimp.
- Make It Spicy: Sprinkle in crushed red pepper flakes or a pinch of cayenne pepper.
- Parmesan Italian Shrimp: Sprinkle freshly grated Parmesan over the shrimp during the last 5 minutes of baking.
- Herb Butter Shrimp: Add chopped parsley, basil, or dill after baking.
- Lemon Pepper Shrimp: Add a teaspoon of lemon pepper seasoning for even more citrus flavor.
- Shrimp Scampi Style: Finish with a squeeze of fresh lemon juice and serve over angel hair pasta.
What To Serve This With
This baked Italian shrimp pairs perfectly with angel hair pasta, rice, roasted potatoes, or Sour Cream Mashed Potatoes. It also goes great with roasted asparagus, broccoli, gree beans, or a salad.
Storage & Reheating
Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
Warm the shrimp gently in the microwave in 30-second intervals or in a skillet over low heat until just heated through. Avoid overcooking, as shrimp can become rubbery.

I added thawed Broccoli Florets to the dish next to the shrimp & baked them together...it was Delish! Next time I will sprinkle Panko Crumbs on top of shrimp before baking.
