3 INGREDIENT CHILI DIP

3 ingredient chili dip is an effortless, crowd pleasing appetizer made with just cream cheese, chili and shredded cheddar cheese.

You will not believe how incredibly delicious this 3 ingredient chili dip is.It's actually kinda crazy that this magic can be made by using so few ingredients. Not only is this dip made using pantry staples, but its super easy to put together, too. We've been making this dip for decades now and it never ever gets old. It really is a tried and true recipe that is always a guaranteed hit.

This dip recipe has been served at countless family parties, get togethers and even a few holidays. Forget about Football Sundays. There hasn't bee a appetizer invented thats better than this for watching a football game.Make this for your next party and watch as the serving dish gets scraped completely clean.

Ingredients

Here are all of the ingredients that you'll need to make this delicious dip. You can find the full ingredients list along with instructions on the recipe card below.

  • Cream Cheese- Creates a rich, creamy base that balances the spice of the chili.
  • Hormel Chili with the Beans- Adds lots of bold flavor and texture. The beans make the dip more filling.
  • Cheddar Cheese- Melts into a bubbly golden topping.
  • Tortilla Chips- The perfect chip to pair with this dip. I love Tostitos Cantina Chips for this one.

Instructions

Heres how to make tis delicious dip. You can find the full ingredients list along with instructions on the recipe card below.

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.

First, in an 8 x 8" baking dish, add the cream cheese and spread it evenly over the bottom. Spread the chili evenly over the cream cheese. Sprinkle the shredded on top.

NOTE: Let the cream cheese get to room temperature to make it easier to spread.

PRO TIP: Be sure to shred the cheese yourself and avoid the pre shredded stuff that comes in bag. It will melt much better that way.

Now, cover it and place it into the center rack of the oven for about 20 minutes.

PRO TIP: Placing it into the center rack of the oven will allow the air to circulate and cook the dip evenly.

NOTE: If you like the cheese less creamy and more crispy bake it uncovered. It’s completely up to your personal preference.

Finally, let it sit for 5- 10 minutes. Garnish with parsley (optional) and serve with Tortilla Chips.

PRO TIP: Letting the dip sit before serving will allow the dip to settle and thicken up.

Can I Make This Dip Ahead Of Time?

Yes, you can make this ahead of time. Just assemble the dip, cover and refrigerate for up to 24 hours. Bake when you're ready to serve it.

Can I Microwave This Instead?

Technically you can but baking it the best melty, bubbly texture.

Storage

Let the dip cool completely and place it into an air tight container. It will last in the refrigerator for up to three days.

  • 8 Oz Cream Cheese, room temperature
  • 1.5 Cups Cheddar Cheese, hand shredded

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees

  • Cover and place it into the center rack of the oven for about 20 minutes or until the dip is hot an bubbly
