Honey Baked Spiral Ham
From the recipe collection of Tara Ippolito
The holidays wouldn’t be the same without a nice, big honey baked spiral ham.

Truth be told, I’ve never been much of a turkey person and I don’t think I’m the only one.
I say that because on holidays like Thanksgiving when we have both options, most guests go straight for the ham first.
How could you not? It’s a little bit salty, a little bit sweet and those dark caramelized spots on top are the absolute best!

There are a bunch of different ham recipes out there but this spiral version is one of my favorites.
It’s super easy to serve since it’s sliced into perfect portions to begin with.
The seasoning and sweet glaze drips into all the little crevices, too. Making every bite taste just as delicious as the last.

This is always such a big hit when I make it. It’s would truly be a great addition to any holiday like Thanksgiving, Christmas or Easter.
I hope you give this recipe a try. If you do, I know you’ll love it just as much as my family and I do.

Honey Baked Spiral Ham Variations
I like this recipe made just the way it is, but here are some ways to change it up if you’d like to.

- Ham- if you can’t find a spiral cut ham, a regular whole ham will work. Just be sure to score it.
- Spices- Ground gloves and all spice can be substituted for a little cinnamon.
Easy Holiday Side Dishes
Here are some super easy to make side dish recipes that would be perfect to serve along side this spiral ham.

- Creamy Green Bean Casserole
- Frozen Mixed Vegetable Casserole
Honey Baked Spiral Ham Ingredients

- Fully Cooked Spiral Sliced Ham (throw away the glaze packet that it comes in).
- Pineapple Juice
- Honey
- Brown Sugar
- White Sugar
- Salt
- Garlic Powder
- Onion Powder
- Paprika
- Ground Clove
- All Spice
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 325°
First, open the spiral ham packaging, trow away the glaze packet that it comes in, and place the ham flat side down into a large roasting pan.

Then, in a separate bowl, whisk together pineapple juice and honey until it’s evenly combined and pour it over the ham.

Now, place the ham on the middle- low rack of the oven for 10 minutes per pound.

Next, in a small bowl, stir together the brown sugar, white sugar, salt, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, ground cloves and all spice.

Once the ham is done cooking, pour the juices from the bottom of the pan into a small sauce pan, add more pineapple juice and add half of the sugar seasoning mix.

Then, bring the liquid to a boil and whisk for about 2 minutes.

Now, reduce the heat to low and let the sauce simmer for about 15 minutes.

Next, put the remaining sugar mixture all over the ham and be sure to get it inside all the little creases.

Then, turn the oven temperature up to 400° and place the ham back into the oven for about 10-15 minutes.

Now, pour the glaze evenly over the top of the ham.

Finally, let it cool slightly and enjoy.

I am cooking my ham in an electric roaster- any changes to the cooking time or temperature?
