Meatloaf Meatballs In Gravy Variations
I like this recipe made just the way it is, but here are some ways to change it up if you’d like to.

- Meat- ground turkey or chicken would work for this recipe if you’d prefer to use that.
- Seasoning- instead of Pioneer Meatloaf Mix, season the meatloaf with salt, pepper, 1 tablespoon of garlic powder and 1 tablespoon of Italian Seasoning.
- Gravy- use your favorite brand of jarred gravynor make your own if you’d prefer to.
- Mashed potatoes- I used my Sour Cream Mashed Potatoes Recipe but use whatever mashed potatoes you’d like.
Other Easy Meatball Recipes
If you like super easy to make meatball recipes like this one, here are some others that I know you’ll love, too.

Meatloaf Meatballs In Gravy Ingredients

- Ground beef
- Green Bell Pepper, diced
- Onion, diced
- Olive Oil
- Egg
- Italian Seasoned Breadcrumbs
- Milk
- Pioneer Meatloaf Mix Packet (or season with Salt, Pepper and Garlic Powder)
- Ketchup
- Pioneer Beef Gravy Packet
- Salt and Pepper
- Mashed Potatoes
- Parsley (optional)
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 350°
First, in a small skillet, sauté the bell pepper and onion in a little olive oil. Lightly season them with salt and pepper and let them cool slightly when soft.
Next, in a large bowl, add the ground beef, egg, seasoned breadcrumbs, milk, sautéed peppers and onions and the meatloaf mix.

Then, mix everything together until it’s evenly combined. Don’t over mix it, though. Stop once it’s combined to avoid meatballs that are too dense.

Now, take a small handful of the meatloaf mixture and roll them into 1-2” balls.

Next, place them onto a parchment paper lined baking sheet and pop them into the oven for about 30 minutes or until they are cooked all the way through.

In the meantime, make the gravy according to the directions on the back of the package.

Then, once the meatballs are done cooking, place them on top of some mashed potatoes.

Finally, pour the gravy on top of the meatballs and mashed potatoes. Garnish with parsley (if desired) and enjoy!

The recipe calls for 1/2 cup catsup! Where do you use it? Also you neglected to mention Italian seasoning added to meatloaf mixture. Too bad for me since I didn’t notice until the mixture was done and meatballs in the oven. I hope they come out edible. ?
Your reply would be appreciated.

Hi. The ketchup goes into the meatball mixture it will be fine to omit it. The Italian seasoning you are referring to is actually Italian seasoned breadcrumbs. Not separate Italian seasoning
