Stove Top Stuffing Meatloaf

From the recipe collection of Tara Ippolito

Stove Top stuffing meatloaf is the dinner that you will be making again and again.

This recipe may sound a little strange at first but believe me it’s absolutely amazing. I promise you're going to love every single bite of it.

I remember the first time hearing about this recipe and thinking that the concept was interesting but wondered if It would actually work. The general idea being to replace traditional breadcrumbs with a box of Stove Top Stuffing.

Curiosity wound up getting the best of me and I had to give it a try for myself. The results were better than I could have ever expected!

Simply replacing the breadcrumbs completely transforms the taste of this meatloaf. The flavors went so well together and it was super easy to make, too.

My family really loves meatloaf. We make Old Fashioned Meatloaf, Bacon Cheeseburger Meatloaf and Crockpot French Onion Meatloaf all the time. This is a nice way to change it up!

I hope you give this recipe a try. If you do, I know you'll love it just as much as my family and I do.

Stovetop Stuffing Meatloaf Variations

I like this recipe for stovetop stuffing meatloaf made just the way it is but here are some ways to change it up if you'd like to.

stove top stuffing box
  • Meat- Ground turkey or chicken can be used instead of ground beef.
  • Stove Top- Any flavor of Stovetop stuffing would be ok to use in this recipe so choose your favorite.
  • Both- Vegetable, beef or chicken broth would all be ok to use here. If you're worried about the sodium in the Stovetop Stuffing or just like to keep an eye on your salt intake, water would be fine to substitute.

Other Easy Dinner Recipes

If you like super easy to make dinner recipes like this one, here are some others that I know you'll love, too.

Stove Top Stuffing Meatloaf Ingredients

  • Stove Top Stuffing, Savory Herbs
  • Ground Beef
  • Eggs
  • Vegetable broth
  • Ketchup
  • Brown Gravy
  • Salt and Pepper to taste, Onion powder
  • Fresh Parsley (optional)

Instructions

Preheat the oven to 375 degrees

First, add the box of Stovetop Stuffing it to a medium sized bowl.

Then pour the vegetable broth over the stuffing and mix it in. Let that sit for a few minutes until the stuffing softens.

Now, add the ground beef.

Then, add the eggs.

Next, season it with salt, pepper and onion powder.

After that, add some brown gravy.

Then, add the ketchup.

Next, mix everything together until it’s evenly combined. Don’t over mix the meatloaf or it will become too dense.

Now, transfer the beef mixture to a parchment paper lined baking sheet and shape it into a meatloaf.

Then, bake it in the oven for about 45 minutes or until the meatloaf is cooked all the way through. Let it rest for 5 minutes

Next, warm up the rest of the gravy and pour it over the top of the meatloaf.

Finally, garnish with parsley (optional), slice it, and serve warm. Enjoy!

Loved it. I used mushroom gravy. Baked for a full hour, didn't look done after 45 minutes,
    Will make again

Nothing I can’t be mushy. It’s not as firm as a regular meatloaf. Unless you used a little less meat. If you followed the recipe exactly try adding half a push more of ground meat next time and it will firm up a little for sure
