This roasted garlic parmesan broccoli is just the right blend of seasonings and freshly grated parmesan cheese on top of perfectly roasted broccoli florettes.

From the recipe collection of Tara Ippolito

This roasted garlic parmesan broccoli is one of my absolute favorite side dish recipes. Not only do I absolutely love to eat this side dish, but I also really like to make it, too. Its so easy to put together and requires very little effort.

No fuss recipes like this that are a hit with the whole family are lifesavers for me on busy weeknights when Im trying to decide whats for dinner. This recipe is good enough to make for any holiday like Christmas or Thanksgiving and easy enough to throw together for a casual family dinner at home.

Ingredients

Heres everything you'll need to make this delicious side dish. You can find the full ingredients list along with measurements and instructions on the recipe card below.

  • Broccoli Florets- Brings a hearty slightly earthy flavor and tender texture.
  • Salt and Pepper- Enhances the flavor of the broccoli.
  • Garlic Powder- Adds an earthy flavor into every bite.
  • Olive Oil- Helps get those delicious charred edges on the broccoli.
  • Parmesan Cheese- Adds a salty, slightly nutty finish.
  • Lemon Juice- Adds a pop of acidity and brightens the dish.

How To Make IT

Preheat the oven to 400 degrees

Add the broccoli to a large bowl, drizzle with olive oil and season it with, salt, pepper and garlic powder. Mix everything together until it's evenly combined.

PRO TIP: If cutting the broccoli into florets yourself, try to make sure they're relatively the same size so that they can cook evenly.

broccoli florets in a blow with seasoning

Add the broccoli to a parchment paper lined baking sheet in a single layer. Place it into the center rack of the oven for about 20 minutes or until the florets are cooked all the way through and just a little charred.

NOTE: Add more time if you like it a little more on the charred side like me!

Squeeze the lemon juice on top of the broccoli and add the parmesan cheese. Toss gently to combine, serve warm and enjoy!

PRO TIP: The parmesan cheese plays a big role here so be sure to shred some right off the block if possible. You'll get a much more flavorful result.

What Should I Serve This With?

Side dishes like this can go with just about anything you can think of. Serve it for holidays next to a Glazed Ham or for a casual dinner at home with Crockpot Smothered Chicken and Roasted Potatoes.

Storage

Let the broccoli cool completely and place it into a food safe air tight container. It will last in the refrigerator for up to three days.
