How To Make It
Heres how to make this delicious side dish. You can find the full ingredients list along with instructions on the recipe card below.
- Preheat the oven to 350°F. Spray a 9 x 13" baking dish generously with cooking spray and add the frozen broccoli to the baking dish. Spread it out into an even layer. Spray the broccoli lightly with additional cooking spray. Season the broccoli with salt, pepper, garlic powder and onion powder. Sprinkle the freshly grated Parmesan evenly over the broccoli. Add the Italian seasoned breadcrumbs evenly over the Parmesan.

- Lightly spray the top of the breadcrumbs with cooking spray. Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and place it into the oven for 30 minutes. Carefully remove the foil and return the broccoli to the oven. Bake uncovered for another 25–30 minutes, or until the broccoli is tender and the breadcrumb and Parmesan topping is golden brown. Serve warm and enjoy.

Pro Tips
- Don’t thaw the broccoli. This recipe is designed to go straight from the freezer into the baking dish.
- Spread the broccoli out as evenly as possible so it cooks consistently.
- Freshly grated Parmesan is best here because it melts and browns better than many pre-grated varieties.
- Don’t skip spraying the breadcrumb topping. That little bit of oil helps give it a more golden, crispy finish.
- Once the foil comes off, keep an eye on the broccoli toward the end of the cooking time so the breadcrumbs don’t get too dark.
- For an extra crispy top, broil it briefly at the very end, watching it closely.
Variations
- For a little heat, add crushed red pepper flakes along with the other seasonings.
- You can also add some shredded mozzarella during the last few minutes of baking for an extra cheesy version.
- For a stronger Italian flavor, sprinkle a little Italian seasoning over the broccoli before adding the Parmesan.
- A squeeze of fresh lemon juice right before serving is also delicious and adds a little brightness to the rich Parmesan and breadcrumb topping.
What to Serve With It
This broccoli is such an easy side dish because it goes with almost anything. Serve it alongside chicken, pork chops, steak, meatloaf or roasted salmon.
It would also be great with pasta, lasagna or another Italian-style dinner when you want an easy vegetable on the side.
Can I Use Fresh Broccoli?
Yes, but the cooking time would need to be reduced because fresh broccoli doesn’t contain the same amount of frozen moisture and will cook much faster.
Storage & Reheating
Store leftover Viral Crack Broccoli in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3–4 days.
For the best texture, reheat it in the oven or air fryer until warmed through. The microwave works too, but the breadcrumb topping won’t stay quite as crispy.
