One being the potatoes were under seasoned and two being that they just didn’t crisp up good enough in the oven.

There is nothing better that a well seasoned, crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside potato.

Once you get how to make these roasted potatoes down you’ll be making them for everything.

The key to getting crispy potatoes
Preheating the baking sheet here is key to getting these potatoes nice and crispy.
Simply pop it into the oven when the oven itself is preheating. It will get nice and hot in no time.

Then once the potatoes are ready to be cooked just place them on the baking sheet in a single layer.
The hot baking sheet will crisp up the outside quickly while leaving the inside nice and fluffy.
Can these be made in the air fryer?
Absolutely these can be done in the air fryer.
Just make them exactly as the instructions say to and pop them into the air fryer.

Set the temperature on the air fryer to 380° and the time for 20 minutes.
Shake the basket 10 minutes into the cooking process and you’re done!
Seasoning variations
Honestly there are so many variations for how to season potatoes that I can’t even list them all.
The bottom line is that potatoes really need to be seasoned well. I’d start off with salt and pepper then build from there.

Add or take away to the seasoning that I chose to fit whatever suits your personal taste.
What potatoes should I use?
You can use a wide variety of potatoes for this recipe. Pretty much anything with a red or white skin.
I’ve even done this with sweet potatoes before and they’re amazing.

No matter how big or small the potatoes you chose are just be sure to cut them into small pieces like how I did.
They’ll cook more evenly and be better seasoned that way.
Crispy oven roasted potatoes ingredients:

- Red or white potatoes cut into cubes
- Olive oil
- Salt and pepper
- Garlic powder
- Thyme dried
- Paprika
- parsley dried
- Onion powder
Instructions
First preheat your oven to 400° with your baking sheet in it.

Preheating the baking sheet is key! Don’t skip this step.
Then rinse/wash your potatoes and dry them very well.

Now cut the potatoes into small cubed pieces. I like to keep them about 1 inch or 1/ 2 inch pieces. Just make sure they’re all the same size so they cook evenly.

Next add the cut potatoes into a a medium sized bowl.

Then add the olive oil,

The onion powder,

Garlic powder,

Paprika

Dried parsley

Dried thyme

Salt and pepper

Then toss everything together until the potatoes are evenly coated in the olive oil and seasoning.

Now carefully remove the preheated baking dish from the oven and add the potatoes to it.

Spread them out evenly on the baking sheet and pop them into the oven for about 15 minutes.

After that, take the potatoes out of the oven and mix them around in the baking sheet using a spatula.

Now place them back into the oven for another 15 minutes or until all the potatoes are golden brown.

Finally, add them to a serving dish and serve warm.
