This Sunday morning breakfast casserole is so easy to make and perfect for a crowd.

Once we had kids, we started making this on the weekends and calling it our “Sunday morning breakfast”. The name stuck.

Everyone would wake up hungry in the morning and this was super simple for me to put together.

I could set the table and get the family ready for breakfast white it cooked in the oven. By the time it was done, we were all ready to eat. It was perfect.

Recipes like this one are lifesavers on busy, hectic mornings. It’s quick, easy and everyone is full and happy after enjoying it.

This is a great recipe to serve if you have house guests over or for a brunch party, too.

It’s always a huge hit and everyone loves it.

Sunday Morning Breakfast Casserole Variations

I like this breakfast casserole recipe made just the way it is but here are some ways to change it up if you’d like to.

  • Biscuits- any brand/ kind of canned biscuits will do.
  • Cheese- use whatever kind of cheese you prefer. Just be sure to hand shred the cheese yourself. It will melt way better that way.

Sunday Morning Breakfast Casserole Ingredients

  • Canned Biscuits
  • Breakfast Sausage, cooked and crumbled
  • Eggs
  • Cheddar Cheese, shredded
  • Salt and Pepper to taste
  • Parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions

Preheat the oven to 400°

First, grease a 9x 13” baking dish and add the biscuits to the bottom so they are laying side by side.

Now, using your fingers, press them down so that they are covering the bottom.

Then, add the cooked and crumbled breakfast sausage evenly on top of the biscuits.

Next, add a layer of shredded cheddar cheese.

Now, in a medium sized bowl, beat the eggs together with a salt and pepper and pour them on top of the cheese, sausage and biscuits.

Next, place it into the oven for about 30 minutes or until the eggs are cooked all the way through.

Finally, let it cool slightly, garnish with parsley (if desired) and serve warm. Enjoy!

  • 1 tube Canned Biscuits
  • 1 pound Breakfast Sausage, cooked and crumbled
  • 1.5 cups Cheddar Cheese, hand shredded
  • 8 large Eggs
  • Salt and Pepper to taste
  • Parsley for garnish, optional

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the oven to 400°
