From the recipe collection of Tara Ippolito

4 ingredient hot artichoke dip is the easy, no fuss appetizer thats sure to become and instant favorite among family and friends.I've been making recipe this for years and every time I do, I get tons of compliments on it. People seem to really love the combination of these simple ingredients together.

This is a fantastic choice to serve for holidays like Christmas, Thanksgiving or any celebration with family and friends. I've also made this for television watch parties and big game parties, too. It's so versatile that it can be made for just about any occasion. Trust me, it's going to be a huge hit no matter what the serving circumstances are. Dip and appetizer recipes like this that are made with just a few basic pantry staples are lifesavers for me on days I need to throw something together, too. I hope you give this recipe a try. If you do, I know you'll love it just as much as my family and I do, too.

Ingredients

Here is what you'll need to make this artichoke dip. You can find the full ingredients list along with measurements and instructions on the recipe card below.

  • Canned Atrichoke Hearts- The star of the show! Gives the dip its hearty, signature flavor. I use Cento.
  • Parmesan cheese- Adds a nutty, salty depth and adds richness. I use DelGioisio.
  • Garlic- Elevates the mild artichoke flavor and flavors the whole dip.
  • Mayonnaise- Creates a smooth base that makes the dip rich. I used Duke's.
  • Parsley- An optional garnish that adds a pop of color to the finished dip.
  • Bagel Chips- The perfect thick chip to support this heavy dip. I used Stacy's Bagel Chips.

Instructions

Heres how to make this delicious artichoke dip. You can find the full ingredients list along with instructions on the recipe card below.

Preheat the oven to 375.

First, in a medium sized bowl, add the artichoke hearts, parmesan cheese, mayonnaise and minced garlic. Mix everything together until its evenly combined.

PRO TIP: Make sure to drain the artichokes very well to avoid a watery result.

PRO TIP- There aren't many ingredients in this recipe so each one really counts. Try to use a good quality Parmesan.

Then, transfer the mixture to an oven safe 8 x 8" baking dish and smooth it out until its flat. Place it in the center rack of the oven, uncovered, for about 20 minutes or until the sided are hot and bubbly.

PRO TIP: Don't over bake the dip. Take it out as soon as its hot and bubbly to ensure a creamy texture.

Finally, let it sit for 5 minutes. Garnish with parsley and enjoy!

PRO TIP: Let the dip sit before serving to let it settle and firm up.

Can I Use Marinated Artichokes For This?

Yes you can but I think this dip is at its best with just plain, regular canned artichoke hearts. If you cant find them, or would like to use marinated artichoke hearts, they will work, too. Just be sure to drain as much liquid from them as possible.

Can I Make This Ahead Of Time?

Yes, you can make this dip ahead of time. Just assemble, cover, and place it into the refrigerator for up to 24 hour. Let it sit at room temperature for about 20 minutes before baking to ensure it cooks evenly.

Why Did My Dip Separate Or Get Greasy?

Overheating can cause the mayonnaise to separate. Just bake it until hot and bubbly at the recommended temperature. Using freshly grated parmesan cheese instead of powdered parm helps, too.

Storage

Let the dip cool completely and place it into an air tight container. It will last in the fridge for up to three days.
