How To Make It
Here’s how to make the sandwich that took the internet by storm! You can find the full ingredients list along with instructions on the recipe card below.
Preheat oven to 350°F.
First, keep the Kings Hawaiian rolls whole (do not slice yet). Mix the melted butter with minced garlic, rosemary, and a pinch of salt. Brush the mixture over the tops of the rolls and sprinkle with grated Parmesan. Bake for about 10 minutes until golden and fragrant. Remove and let the bread cool. Once cooled, slice the rolls horizontally.

Next, layer crispy bacon on the bottom then add sliced onions, lettuce and tomato. Season the tomatoes with salt and pepper and drizzle them with red wine vinegar and olive oil. Sprinkle the top with oregano.

Now, add the banana peppers and pickles. Spread mayonnaise on the inside of the top layer of rolls and top with a thin layer of cherry pepper relish. Place the top back on, slice into individual portions, serve immediately and enjoy!

Do I Have To Use Kings Hawaiian Rolls?
Kings Hawaiian Rolls are soft, slightly sweet, and when brushed with garlic butter and Parmesan, they turn into something incredible. You can use other rolls if you’d like but I highly recommend these.
Why Is It Called A Pregnancy Sandwich?
The name comes from it being a deli meat free option at Jersey Mike’s (since some pregnant folks avoid cold cuts). But the flavor combo of briny, tangy and salty my has made it a hit with everyone who tries it.
Storage
This sandwich is best served right away and fresh. If you’d like to store it, place it into a food safe air tight container and it will last in the refrigerator for up to three days. Just keep in mind with all the toppings, it will get soggy and won’t be its best.
