You will absolutely love these delicious and easy way to make skillet nachos. I used to make my nachos all kinds of different ways. Once I started doing them on the stovetop in a skillet, all of my other methods just didn't do the trick.This is my favorite way by far now. I haven't made them any other way since. The cheese gets super creamy and melty and they're so easy to do.
Everyone just loves nachos. Its one of those appetizers, snacks or even dinners that you know will be a guarenteed crowd pleaser. Making them in a skillet like this makes them even better! That final pour of the seasoned ground beef and cheese over the tortilla chips is a beautiful sight to impress your guests or family with.

How To Make It

1. First, brown the ground beef and make it according to the directions on the back of the taco seasoning packets. Stir in the salsa Now, sprinkle the shredded cheese as evenly as you can over the seasoned ground beef and salsa mixture.
PRO TIP: Use two packets for one pound of ground beef instead of one for lots of extra flavor.
PRO TIP: Be sure to shred the cheese yourself and avoid the pre shredded stuff that comes in a bag. It will melt much better that way.

2. Place a lid on the skillet and turn the heat down to low. Let it simmer for five minutes. Finally, plate the tortilla chips, remove the lid and pour the cheese and meat mixture on top of the chips. Add your favorite toppings (optional) and enjoy

What Should I Serve This With?
These nachos go great with sour cream, guacamole, shredded iceburg lettuce and diced tomatoes. Feel free to add any other toppings of your choice.
Storage
Let the beef, cheese and salsa mixture cool completely and place it into a food safe, air tight container. It will last in the refrigerator for up to three days.

Skillet Nachos Recipe
Ingredients
- 1 Pound Ground Beef
- 2 Oz Taco Seasoning
- ½ Cup Salsa, mild
- 1.5 Cups cheddar cheese, shredded
- Tortilla Chips
Instructions
- Make the ground beef according to the directions of the taco seasoning packet. Keep in mind to use 2 ounces of seasoning instead of 1 for extra flavor.
- Add the salsa and stir it into the beef over medium heat for 2 minutes.
- Sprinkle the cheese on top of the seasoned beef and salsa and turn the heat down to low.
- Add the top onto the skillet and let the cheese melt for about 3 minutes. Once you see that its melted, remove the lid.
- Arrange the tortillas down on a serving platter in a single layer and carefully pour over the beef and cheese. Serve with your favorite toppings and enjoy!
