I can confidently say that you are going to love these sour cream and onion egg noodles.

They couldn’t be easier to make and are a flavorful side dish the whole family is sure to love.
My two boys love sour cream and onion anything and these noodles are no exception. The first time I served them these they told me that this was their favorite thing I’ve made them.

We usually eat Cafeteria Noodles and this was a nice change. It’s great with a simple protein like Crockpot Smothered Chicken Legs and a vegetable like Frozen Roasted Green Beans.
To be honest, they’ll go great with whatever you’d prefer to serve them with so choose your favorite.

I love simple and easy to make meals like this that my family really enjoys. It makes dinner planning for those busy weeknights so much easier.
Most of the ingredients for this meal I already have on hand, too. I can just run to my pantry and have these noodles on the table in less than 30 minutes.

It really doesn’t get any easier than that!

Sour Cream And Onion Egg Noodles Variations
I like this noodle recipe made just the way it is, but here are some ways to change it up if you’d like to.

- Cheese- Stir in a little Parmesan cheese for extra flavor.
- Onion Soup Mix- Any flavor of Lipton Onion Soup Mix would be great in this recipe so choose your favorite.

- Wide Egg Noodles plus a ladle of pasta water
- Butter
- Onion, diced
- Chives, chopped
- Lipton Onion Soup Mix
- Sour Cream
Instructions
First, boil the egg noodles in salted water.

While the noodles are cooking, melt the butter in a large pan over medium high heat and add the diced onions.

Now, add Lipton Onion Soup packet.

Then, let the onion and onion soup packet sauté together for about 4 minutes or until the onions are soft.

Next, add a ladle of pasta water and stir it into the onions and onion soup packet for about 3 minutes.

Now, add in the cooked and strained egg noodles.

Then, add the sour cream and chopped chives.

Next, gently stir everything together until the noodles are evenly coated in the sour cream and onion sauce.

Finally, garnish with more chopped chives, serve warm and enjoy!

- 6 Tbs Butter
- 1 Small Onion, diced
- ¼ Cup Chives, chopped (saved some for garnish)
- 1 Envelope Lipton Onion Soup Mix
- 16 Oz Sour Cream
Instructions
- First, boil the egg noodles in salted water.
- While the noodles are cooking, melt the butter in a large pan over medium high heat and add the diced onions.
- Add Lipton Onion Soup packet. Let the onion and onion soup packet sauté together for about 4 minutes or until the onions are soft.
