How To Make It
Heres how to make this amazing potatoes. You can find the full ingredients list along with instructions on the recipe card below.
First, clean, peel and chop your potatoes into about 2 inch cubes and add them to a large pot. Cover them in chicken broth and gently boil until fork tender. Drain them well and set them aside.
PRO TIP: Try to cut the potatoes into as equal of parts as you can so they all finish cooking at the same time.

Now in that same sauce pot, add butter, garlic cloves, thyme and rosemary. Let the butter melt over medium-high heat, stirring frequently. After a couple of minutes remove the herbs and garlic.
NOTE: No need to keep the garlic and herbs because they would have infused their flavors into the butter.

Next add the potatoes back into the pot with the infused butter and season them with the salt, pepper and garlic powder. Add the heavy cream and sour cream and mash the potatoes until all of the ingredients are evenly combined and reach the consistency you like. Finally, garnish with chives/parsley and butter (optional). Enjoy!
PRO TIP: Use a traditional hand masher for a chunkier texture or a hand mixer for a much smoother result.
PRO TIP: Allow the cream and sour cream to reach room temperature before adding them to the mashed potatoes to help them more evenly incorperate.

What Potatoes Should I Use?
Yukon Gold or Russet Potatoes can both be used for this recipe. I prefer Yukon Gold because I think they mash up the best.
Storage
Let the potatoes cool completely and place them into a food safe, air tight container. They will last in the refrigerator for up to three days.
