Viral boat dip is a crowd pleasing appetizer that combines a creamy, cheesy, ranch flavored dip with fire roasted tomatoes.

Viral Boat Dip

From the recipe collection of Tara Ippolito

This viral boat dip is creamy, cheesy, tangy and incredibly addictive. Its made with just a hand full of pantry staples and theres zero cooking required. This is exactly the kind of dip that disappears within minutes at parties, tailagtes, holidays or pretty much any even that you can think of. The best part is that it comes together in under 5 minutes, too.

The ingredients are simple, its super easy to put togther and everyone scrapes the bowl clean whenever I make it. Its always such a huge hit! Now that I've tried it for myself, I know why it went viral. I hope you give this recipe a try. If you do, I know you’ll love it just as much as my family and friends do.

Ingredients

Heres everything you'll need to make this delicious dip. You can find the full ingredients list along with measurements and instructions on the recipe card below.

  • Sour Cream-Th perfect base of this dip. It adds a creamy, smooth texture and balances the tangy richness of the ranch
  • Original Rotel- Adds juicy tomato freshness.
  • Cheddar Cheese- Brings sharp, savory cheesiness
  • Dry Ranch Seasoning- The backbone of the dip! Adds lots of flavor and compliments the other flavors perfectly

Instructions

Heres how to make this delicious viral boat dip. You can find the ingredients list along with instructions in the recipe card below.

First, in a medium size bowl, add the sour cream, Rotel, shredded cheddar cheese and the dry ranch packet. Stir everything together until it’s evenly combined.

PRO TIP: Drain the can of Rotel very well to avoid a watery dip.

PRO TIP: Make sure to shred the cheese yourself and avoid the pre shredded stuff that comes in a bag. It will make the dip much creamier that way.

Then, cover it, and place it into the fridge for 2-3 hours to let the flavors settle together. Finally, give it one nice, big stir before serving and enjoy!

PRO TIP: Be sure to let this dip sit in the fridge and dont rush it. The flavors need that time to mend together.

What Can I Serve This With?

Potato chips, tortilla chips or bagel chips are all great choices to serve with this dip.

Can This Be Made Spicer?

Yes, you can definitely make this dip spicer if you'd like to. Just stir in a can of diced green chilis, use a spicy ranch packet or choose a spicier cheese like pepper jack.

Storage

Place this into an air tight container and it will last in the refrigerator for three days.
