The Best Chicken Teriyaki
From the recipe collection of Tara Ippolito
This truly is the best chicken teriyaki recipe that I've ever tried to make at home.

I've been making this dish for years and my family goes absolutely crazy for it. It's so easy to put together, too. We usually serve this over some white rice for a nice and easy meal.
This is a perfect choice for a busy weekday dinner. My whole house loves this recipe, even my two picky little boys.

The chicken is so juicy and tender and the sauce is packed with so much flavor. It's the perfect combination.
Normally, this is something that my family would order from take out but this is seriously even better.

This is definitely one that you'll be making over and over again. It's a great recipe to have on your rotating dinner menu.
I hope you give this recipe a try. If you do, I know you'll love it just as much as my family and I do.

The Best Chicken Teriyaki Variations
I love this recipe for chicken teriyaki as it is, but here are some ways to change it up if you'd like to.
- Chicken- Thighs really are the best choice for this recipe but I understand that some people really prefer not to eat them. You can use chicken breast if you need to but It wont be as juicy. Chicken tenders would work, too.
- Vinegar- Instead of rice vinegar, apple cider vinegar would be a good substitute.
- Serving- Serve this chicken alone, with rice or salad.

Made this twice now. Once as the posted recipe. It was a great! And this time when I made it I omitted the cornstarch and used a bit less water so that I could grill the chicken on the BBQ instead. It was great this way as well!

This came out great and the marinade was delicious. I got a nice glazed finish on the chicken and was very tasty. I would probably opt to use chicken breast next time. While thighs are my favorite, I felt that they didn't work as well in this dish.

Can you put the chicken in the pan with extra marinade from the bowl to make it a little saucier or do you recommend something else? Never cooked chicken before but would love to try this!
