These Lipton Onion Roasted Potatoes are made with just three simple ingredients and couldn't be more delicious.

These onion soup packets caught my eye at Shoperite because they were on sale. So, I decided to pick one up and check it out.

I'm so glad that I did because this recipe was right there on the back on the package. Sometimes the most amazing recipes are right under out noses. We just have to know where to look for them.

I needed a simple side dish to make for dinner and this couldn't have been more perfect. My family loves potatoes and were always looking for new and exiting ways to make them. It was a nice little break from my usual Easy Ranch Potatoes and Crispy Smashed Potato recipes.

Not only is this recipe super easy to make but its also packed with flavor. This is one of those side dishes that just pairs perfectly with whatever main dish you’re serving. So feel free to make it to compliment whatever you've already got planned on the dinner menu for tonight.

Crispy, flavorful seasoned potatoes that are effortless to make are always a great idea for any night of the week.

I hope you give this recipe a try. If you do, i know you'll love it just as much as my family and I do.

Lipton Onion Roasted Potatoes Variations

I love this recipe made just the way it is but here are some ways to change it up if you'd like to.

  • Potatoes-This recipe is great because it can be used with pretty much whatever kind of potato that you'd like besides sweet potatoes. Choose your favorite. You can also peel them if you prefer, too.
  • Cooking Method- Instead of roasting the potatoes, they can absolutely be done in the air fryer. Set the air fryer temperature to 400° and time to about 15 minutes. Give the basket a shake about half way through and you'll be good to go.
  • Seasoning- The onion soup packet backs a lot of flavor but feel free to add any additional seasonings that you'd like to.

Lipton Onion Roasted Potatoes Instructions

Preheat the oven to 425° and pop the baking sheet in to preheat, too.

First, dice your potatoes into equal size pieces and add them to a medium sized bowl.

Next, drizzle them with oil and add the onion soup packet.

Now, mix everything together until the potatoes are evenly coated in the seasoning.

Then, add them to the preheated baking sheet in a single layer. Place them in the oven for about 15 minutes.

Now, give them a toss on the baking sheet and pop them back into the oven for another 15 minutes or until the potatoes are nice and crispy.

Finally, transfer them to a serving dish, serve warm and enjoy.

After the first 15 minutes the potatoes were too brown and the onion bits from the soup mix were burnt!

I followed the recipe exactly at the beginning. After the first 15 minutes I flipped the potatoes. The side on the cookie sheet was already too brown and the onion bits from the soup mix were burnt. I flipped the potatoes and reduced the time. Even so, the onion bits were burnt and stuck to the potatoes. Would never make this recipe again.
