Spending just a little extra time making your own seasoning is not going to go unnoticed.

These are the most delicious burgers I have ever had. Every time I make these people go crazy for them.

What can I serve these burgers with?

I love eating these flavorful burgers with a nice side of Moms Tortellini Salad or Garlic Parmesan Fries.

Ranch Butter Corn or Mexican Street Corn Casserole would be awesome, too.

What else can I use this seasoning on?

seasoned ground beef

This recipe isn’t just for beef burgers. It works very well on ground turkey , chicken, and even pork, too.

Honestly, if you like the flavor, put it on whatever you’d like. There are no rules.

Homemade Burger Seasoning Ingredients:

ground beef next to seasoning
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • Garlic powder
  • Dried basil
  • Onion powder
  • Mustard Powder/ ground mustard

Instructions:

First, add all of the ingredients to a small bowl.

Now, mix everything to combine it all.

burger seasoning

Use about 1 tbs of the seasoning per 1.5 pounds of beef. Feel free to adjust that if you’d like more or less.

adding seasoning to the ground beef

Mix the burgers and seasoning together but don’t over mix the meat. The burgers will become too tough like that. ?

mixing the meat

Form the beef into equal sized patties

Then place onto a parchment paper lined baking sheet.

Put them in the fridge to marinate for a couple of hours. The seasoning will really make its way into the beef that way.

When you’re ready to make the burgers, remove them from the fridge and sprinkle them with just a little more of the seasoning.

adding more seasoning to the burgers

Now put the unused homemade seasoning in an air tight container to be stored.

Finally, grill or cook the burgers how you’d like them and enjoy!

I was going to try these today. Is one tablespoon of garlic powder correct?

I always end up having to buy a bottle of this or a bottle of that, just for a teaspoon of an ingredient that I will probably never use again. Which ends up with me having all these bottles haphazardly thrown into my pantry; coupled with my lack of organizational skills, that is not a pretty pantry let me tell you!!! So I am relegated too having to buy my seasonings/rubs but props to everyone who is able to make their own!!
