Theres nothing better then a nice big toasty piece of homemade garlic bread. It may just be the perfect thing to compliment any meal. Bread and butter are such a classic combination that everyone loves. Now, season that butter up, slather it onto some sliced bread and toast it in the oven and you've just made something good even better.

This recipe tastes just like the kind that you'd get served at a restaurant. And let me just warn you, this will go fast, too. Besides this being a fantastic appetizer to any meal, it's also super easy to make, too. This recipe can be whipped up in just 20 minutes with very minimal effort.

Ingredients

Heres everything you'll need to make this delicious garlic bread. You can find the full ingredients list along with instructions on the recipe card below.

  • Loaf Of Italian Bread- The perfect choice to make this garlic bread "restaurant style".
  • Butter- Adds a rich, buttery texture.
  • Garlic- Brings a fresh, strong earthy flavor.
  • Oregano- Adds a classic "Italian" flavor thats warm and peppery.
  • Fresh Parsley- Bring a fresh bright pop of color
  • Olive Oil- loosens the butter and gives a crispy finish.
  • Salt and Pepper- Enhances the flavors of all the other ingredients.
  • Garlic Powder- Adds a smooth garlicy flavor throughout the garlic bread

How To Make It

Heres how to make this delicious appetizer. You can find the full ingredients list along with measurements and instuctions on the recipe card below.

First, in a small bowl, stir together the butter, olive oil, garlic, fresh parsley and all of the seasonings. Slice the Italian bread down the middle vertically then again horizontally. Place the bread cut side up on a baking sheet. Spread the butter evenly on top of each piece of bread.

PRO TIP: Be sure to use "real" garlic and not jarlic here. The flavor is much stronger and intense using fresh garlic and thats exactly what you want here.

Next, place it into the center rack of the oven for about 15 minutes or until the bread is nice and toasted and the garlic butter is melted. Finally, slice the bread about 2” thick and serve warm or room temperature.Enjoy!

PRO TIP: Place the bread onto the center rack of the oven to ensure even air flow so the bread will cook evenly and not burn on the top of bottom.

Can I Use Another Type of Bread?

Yes, you can use another type of bread instead of Italian bread if you'd like. French Bread, Sourdough, rolls or just about any other kind of bread would all be great to use.

Storage

Let the bread cool completely and place it into a food safe air tight container and it will last in the refrigerator for up to three days.
