Ingredients
Here is everything you’ll need to make this delicious recipe. You can find the full ingredients list along with measurements and instructions on the recipe card below.
- Pork chops – Boneless pork chops are easiest for this recipe, but bone-in pork chops work well, too.
- Stove Top Savory Herbs Stuffing Mix – Creates the flavorful, buttery stuffing layer on top of the casserole.
- Chicken broth – Used instead of water to prepare the stuffing and give it even more flavor.
- Cream of mushroom soup – Adds a creamy, savory layer between the pork chops and stuffing.
- Salt and pepper – Simple seasonings that enhance the flavor of the pork.
- Garlic powder – Adds a mild savory garlic flavor.
- Onion powder – Gives the pork chops another layer of seasoning.
- Paprika – Adds a little extra flavor and color to the pork.
- Cooking spray – For lightly greasing the baking dish.
How to Make It
- Preheat the oven to 350°F. In a large bowl, stir together the Stove Top stuffing mix and chicken broth until everything is evenly moistened. Let the stuffing sit for about 5 minutes, then fluff it gently with a fork. Season the pork chops on both sides with salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder and paprika. Place the seasoned pork chops into a lightly greased 9 x 13” baking dish. Spoon the cream of mushroom soup evenly over the top of the pork chops. Spread the prepared stuffing evenly over the cream of mushroom soup.

- Cover the baking dish tightly with aluminum foil and bake for 30 minutes. Remove the foil and continue baking for about 10 minutes, or until the stuffing is lightly golden and the pork chops have reached an internal temperature of 145°F. Remove the casserole from the oven and let the pork chops rest for at least 3 minutes before serving.

Pro Tips
- Boneless or bone-in chops will work. Boneless chops are a little easier to serve and eat, but there’s no reason you can’t use bone-in pork chops.
- Try to use pork chops that are relatively similar in thickness so they finish cooking around the same time.
- Don’t overbake the casserole. Pork chops can dry out quickly, so use a meat thermometer and pull them once they reach 145°F.
- When checking the temperature of bone-in pork chops, insert the thermometer into the thickest part of the meat without touching the bone.
- Using chicken broth instead of water gives boxed stuffing an easy boost of extra flavor.
- Keep the casserole covered for most of the cooking time so the pork stays moist, then uncover it at the end to give the stuffing a little tex
Variations
- Try making this casserole with boneless pork chops if you prefer something easier to serve. You can also swap the cream of mushroom soup for cream of chicken or cream of celery soup.
- Different varieties of Stove Top stuffing will work here, too. Savory Herbs is delicious, but chicken or pork stuffing would also pair nicely with the pork chops.
- For even more flavor, add some sautéed onions or mushrooms between the pork chops and cream of mushroom soup before adding the stuffing.
What to Serve With It
This casserole is already hearty because you’ve got the pork and stuffing together, so a simple vegetable is really all you need. Green beans, roasted broccoli, asparagus or glazed carrots would all be delicious.
A simple side salad would also be great if you want something fresh to balance out the creamy, savory casserole.
Storage & Reheating
Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3–4 days.
Reheat individual portions in the microwave until warmed through. You can also cover the casserole with foil and reheat it in the oven at 350°F until hot.
