The search for the best ever steak marinade ever stops here. And I really do mean that. This is the most incredible steak marinade and I just can’t get enough of it. Every time I use this marinade I get rave reviews. It’s just the perfect combination of ingredients and I bet you’ll have most of them in your home already, too.

It’s so simple yet so effective. This is exactly the kind of recipe that everyone needs in their summer BBQing rotation. The meat is juicy, easy to make and bursting with flavor.

Ingredients

Heres everything you'll need to make this delicious steak marinade. You can find the full ingredients list along with measurements and instructions on the recipe card below.

  • Brown Sugar- Adds a little sweetness and helps the steak caramelize
  • Soy Sauce- The salty and savory base that flavors the meat throughout.
  • Worcestershire Sauce- Adds a deep, tangy flavor.
  • Balsamic Vinegar- Adds richness and helps the steak tenderize.
  • Fresh Lemon Juice- Brightens the flavor and softens the meat
  • Garlic Powder- Brings a smooth, all over flavor.
  • Garlic- Adds bold, fresh taste
  • Olive Oil-Keeps the steak juicy and blends the flavors.
  • Black Pepper- Adds a subtle kick.

How To Make It

Here's everything you'll need to make this amazing marinade. You can find the full ingredients list along with instructions on the recipe card below.

Then, place it in the refrigerator, covered, to marinate for 2-24 hours. Drain the marinade from the steak and cook as desired. Enjoy!

PRO TIP: Pat the steak dry from the marinade to get a really nice sear.

How Long Should I Marinate The Steak?

Anywhere from 2-24 hours works but overnight is ideal. The longer, the better but not exceed 24 hours or it will break the steak down too much.

Can I Use Other Cuts Of Beef?

Yes you can use other cuts of steak. Flank, round or hanger steak would all work very well here, too.

I wouldn’t necessary say it’s better just very different. I prefer a very basic seasoning on other cuts of beef too. This was definitely more involved.
