How great is crispy oven baked bacon going to sound once I tell you that it’s pretty much mess free?

That’s right. There will be no grease splattering across your stove with in this cooking scene.

How amazing is that!

Its just one of the reasons that I love this unique method so much.

Pan frying bacon can be difficult to do. Especially when I’m trying to get a million other things done in the morning.

I don’t really have the time to babysit the stove like that.

And if I do try to multitask I usually wind up overcooking it.

Baking the bacon in the oven gives me a lot more time to get other things done.

Not to mention it’s evenly cooked and perfectly crispy every single time.

There are so many amazing things to love about crispy oven baked bacon.

I know you’ll be happy once you give this method a try.

These Breakfast Pillsbury Crescent Rolls are wonderful if you’re looking for a great breakfast or brunch recipe to put this delicious bacon to use.

Why you’ll love crispy oven baked bacon:

I already gave some information in the intro on why making bacon in the oven is incredible.

Heres a little recap and also a few more reasons why this method is the absolute best.

  • It’s splatter free!! When the bacon cooks in the oven it doesn’t fry like it does on the stove. They’re is not oil splatter mess to clean up.
  • It’s a great way to make a lot of bacon at one time. You can make an entire package at one and it all cooks evenly.
  • I don’t have to babysit the stove. For that 15/20 minutes that the bacon is the oven cooking Im free to get other things done around the house.
  • All the bacon is cooked evenly. It’s all evenly crisped to perfection.
  • No fuss! I can put the bacon in the oven and completely leave it alone. I don’t have to flip it or anything.
  • It holds its form. I’m not sure how important that is to that other people but I love this! The bacon stays flat and doesn’t curl up like pan frying it does.
  • Easy clean up. Once the bacon grease cools on the parchment paper, it’s easy to remove and throw away.

Crispy Oven Baked Bacon Ingredients/ equipment:

  • 1 package of bacon
  • 1 large baking sheet
  • Parchment paper
  • Wire rack (optional)

How to bake bacon in the oven:

First, preheat your oven to 400°

Then lay parchment paper on top of a large baking sheet.

Now lay the bacon down on top of the parchment paper side by side. Don’t overlap it.

Pop it in the oven for 13-15 minutes. Check it after 13 and see if you’d like more time. It will cook up fast from there so keep an eye on it.

Let the bacon cool slightly.

Then carefully remove it with a fork

And place it down on either paper towels or a wire rack to drain.

Finally you’re ready to enjoy some crispy baked bacon!

I hope you give this unique method of baking bacon a try. I think you’ll absolutely love it!

I may have over cooked this bacon in the video a bit, but you get the idea. If you’re not crazy about the idea of cooking the bacon in its own grease, place it on a wire rack.
