The Best Marinated Tomatoes

I’m not kidding when I tell you that these really are the best marinated tomatoes, ever!

If this is you’re first experience with eating tomatoes this way, you’re in for a huge treat.
I’m from Bergen County, New Jersey. The Garden State.
Our tomatoes are so absolutely delicious at their peak during the summer time.

This tomato marinate just takes them to the next level.
It brings out the best in them for sure.
Whoever I make these, people always ask me for the recipe and I’m happy to give it to them.

I want everyone to have the best tomato marinade for their summer salads.
These are so great for picnics, dinners, lunch, brunch or any meal that you can think of.

Once you make them, you’re going to want to eat them like this all the time.
I hope you give them a try. I’m sure you’ll love this recipe just as much as my family and I do.

What tomatoes should I use?
You can use whatever kind of tomatoes you’d like for this marinade.
If you are using larger tomatoes, cut them into wedges or even dice them if you’d like.

Smaller tomatoes like grape or cherry can just be simply sliced in half.
As long as the tomatoes are cut in some way so the marinade can penetrate inside and do its thing you’re good!
Can I add anything else this?
Yes, you absolutely can!
These tomatoes are great on their own but I love to add a little sliced red onion right before serving.

Cucumbers would be a fantastic addition as well as some fresh mozzarella cheese.
Experiment and add whatever fresh vegetables you’d typically eat in a salad.
What can I serve the best marinated tomatoes with?
I absolutely love this with some summer ripe tomatoes but it’s great all year round, too.
It’s a nice appetizer or side dish so it won’t take away from the main meal.
